Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor with WPDE-TV. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston as a reporter and anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell, as well as being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC.
